The lady who called me the other day to offer me an American Express credit card was surprised when I told her that I didn’t think the card was good enough compared to the one I already have. She thought I was out of my mind. But she had formed a very positive view towards American Express and thought I was very negative against her card.
She did not consider the possibility that I had once written a comparative analysis on American Express vs. other cards on the market.
She just assumed that she knew more than me and just dismissed me as negative.

Yeah i get that a lot when i often discuss Icelandic politics and the Financial crisis with family and friends. They often say “you´re just so negative” or “you´re very pessimistic”.
I just say “I may be pessimistic and a bit negative, but that doesn´t mean i´m wrong, and you know it!”
