Well, Independence Party head Bjarni Benediktsson said earlier this week that he didn’t want a Wild West in Iceland, when talking about the Kaupthing records being made public. But Bjarni’s party seems to have laid the foundations for a lawless society quite well during their 17 years in charge.
An angry man attacked an employee at the Local Governments Collection Agency according to the State Broadcasting Channel. Two other people have been arrested for violent behavior in Kaupthing’s branches yesterday and last week.
The man was told money he expected from the state had been collected towards other debts. He attacked an employee and made threats before leaving. Police is now searching for the man.
Last week a man attacked the windows of Kaupthing’s branch in Mjodd, shopping center. Then he sat down and awaited the police. He said he wanted to damage the branch because of tough collection methods he was being made to endure, but he had not wanted to threaten people.
At Kaupthing’s branch on Sudurlandsbraut, a man walked in with a toy gun which he pointed at the branch manager’s head. Then he walked out without saying a word.
So how about that IceSave deal everyone?
