Ingibjorg Solrun Gisladottir of Samfylkingin and Steingrimur J. Sigfusson of the Left Greens are heading to the president’s residence which can only mean one thing, a new government has been formed to lead the country until the elections this spring.
Normally the Left Greens have not been the first option of the Icleandic people to participate in a government, and personally I think Steingrimur is amongst those politicians who should exit the stage as well as so many others. But the times are not normal and as it stands the issues on which the two parties seem to be agreeing are the ones the Independent Party has been unable to tackle.
If they make good on actions to help the households of the country then they’ll have the support they need.
