A friend and I exchanged quotes a little bit earlier. He sent me this one which is a good reminder of where we are;
“Pessimism is a luxury of good times, In difficult times, pessimism is a self-fulfilling, self-inflicted death sentence.”
-Evelin Lindner
I sent back a reminder of where we were;
“Young, angry and poor!”
- A $100 T-shirt my friend bought in 2006.
Exciting times. In an interview with visir.is Thor Saari, MP for the Citizen’s Movement says he gets a lot of phone calls these days from people who seem a lot more angry than in January. People are losing patience.
“Not enough is being done to help the public. Many more people than David Oddson who were in charge knew what was coming, made decisions but didn’t alert anyone. The duties of state-employees to the public of this country are none.
There is plenty of distrustfulness in the society that needs to be conquered. The whole system has been destroyed and nothing is being done to build trust. Special interest and financial connections have led the way and public interest has been put aside. Most of the public is aware of this now and if things don’t change I think we will live in a distorted society, where suspicion is rife and the wounds will never heal. “
