Do I get this right? A group on “NGOs” is organizing a big meeting for people to cooperatively develop visions and ideas for the future of their country? And one of the “grassroots organisations” behind the event is the “ministry of ideas” that has made this slideshow: http://www.slideshare.net/gudjon/ministry-of-ideas-overview-of-grassroot-projects-in-iceland-june-2009

So wouldn’t this Þjóðfundur2009 be a great opportunity for a company err grassroots organisation to develop governementality software?

But! Let’s say that Anthill stands for good and nothing but the good. And the people behind are honest, decent, wise, experience, full of integrity and best wishes.
Would that change anything? I doubt about it.
Remember that “skyr and pot revolution” recently? Did it change your cynical life?

So I’m really not interested in the answers. And you won’t get them anyway. I mean you can get a lot of “answers” and “explanations” but they might make you be even more cynical than now…

This smells like you said, a load of bullshit.
Guðjón Már of the Ministry of ideas group (all but vanished that group is) has done nothing but talk, not produced anything that will benefit the nation or the people. He is heading for the lecture touring circuit most likely and he is only “branding” himself. Saw him at TED-X the other day. Nothing special.

María Ellingsen, used to be almost a starlet in Hollywood. But is now organising evenets with TED enthusiasts.
Lárus Ymir is a former filmmaker.
Bjarni Snæbjörn Jónsson is a “Partner” at Capacent Iceland. Capacent has done alot of good thing like helping Glitnir by taking all their employees, and having their fingers in the Magma Energy/Geysir Green Energy scandal as well as serving as consultants to the biggest criminals of the Economic Crash in Iceland. Way to go Capacent.
Gunnar Jónatansson is a JC Iceland member and trainer. Also a possible TED wannabe. Also a politician for the Seltjarnarnes town council.
Svandís Svavarsdóttir. A Left Green daughter of the person who negotated IceSave for Iceland. Not even ea very cleaver politician. Has her own agenda just like the whole group.
Another member is Björk, of course.
